2024 Highlights
2024 was the first full year
of execution for the eight
Microelectronics Commons Hubs.
This year, over $500 million in
awards have been leveraged to
initiate projects and pilot a crossHub collaboration infrastructure.
Notably, the program has fostered
extensive collaboration, economic
partnerships, and initiated over
70
workforce
development
initiatives, creating a robust
pipeline of qualified workers
in the microelectronics and
semiconductor industries.
Hub Project
Awards in 2024
Commons, with the objectives of establishing a domestic lab-to-fab prototyping
pipeline, has provided a platform to launch new synergistic relationships and
process pathways for the U.S., complementing and further reinforcing ecosystem
partnerships established through CHIPS funding announced by the Department
of Commerce. These innovations will seed future technological applications for
DoD and the commercial industry. We look forward to continuing the work to
mature our partnerships and technologies into the coming year.
